Motocross Photography – Steve Holcombe

We collaborated with world champion motocross enduro rider Steve Holcombe to capture content used to promote upcoming Enduro GP races in the UK. Our collaboration involved a photo and video shoot with Steve in a picturesque woodland setting. During this opportunity, we also conducted a Q&A session with the world champion, discussing insights into the upcoming race series and how he’s feeling going into these events. These interviews and behind-the-scenes moments will be shared across various social media platforms as part of paid social ad campaigns.

Given the challenging nature of motocross, we found ourselves in less-than-ideal shooting conditions: extremely wet, dark, rocky, muddy, and slippery environments, just to name a few obstacles! However, chuck on some protective gear not only our camera equipment but ourselves as well and we were ready to get stuck in and shoot away. Despite the adverse conditions, we made use of flash photography in the darker sections of the woods, which presented excellent opportunities for capturing freeze-frame motion shots. These shots effectively portray the incredible speed at which Steve navigates through the terrain, often very difficult to capture in still imagery, especially when contrasted against the backdrop of the dark woodland scenery.
