We were approached by Bellway Homes to create a series of interactive virtual tours for their new show homes on their development sites. This Cambridgeshire virtual tour show home was created at one of Bellway’s latest development sites The Furrows.
Bellway Homes needed an exciting and engaging way to show off the internal spaces of their homes in a way that traditional photography could not achieve. This property in particular was a shock plot ready to be bought, this meant it contained no furniture or props for scale and room sizes, this would have very hard to portray using still photography only. Using the 2D floor generated from the tour, we can easily take measurements and view each angle of all the rooms and floors.
Unlike video and 360° stitched photos, our Matterport virtual tours allow your customers to freely explore every room of a property as if they were actually there, which means you can trust that they are serious buyers when they arrange to view a property in person. The virtual walkthroughs or ‘tours’ will be primarily used on the Bellway Homes’ website but can also be shared easily on social media and sent simply via email.
The Matterport 360 Virtual Tour technology allows us to gain a stunning insight into each show home and easily share this with potential homeowners in a variety of ways.
The addition of ‘mattertags’ allow us to ‘tag’ up rooms. A tag is essentially a physical link which people can interact with as they walk through a room. These link back to webpages, for example showcasing the sale offices contact information, local area guides, as well as being able to directly link to the property’s brochure. Easily highlight room dimensions, appliance specs and extra storage areas with a mix of lists, links, imagery and short video clips.
The walkthroughs are also compatible with virtual reality goggles which is an exciting way to view the spaces and their potential clients/customers love interacting with the homes in this unique way.
